uzuru Hanyu is a distinguished Japanese figure skater, celebrated for his exceptional talent and accomplishments. Born on December 7, 1994, in Sendai, Japan, Hanyu has achieved numerous milestones in the sport, becoming a two-time Olympic champion by winning gold medals at the 2014 Sochi and 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. He is the first male singles skater to win back-to-back Olympic titles since Dick Button in 1952, and the first Asian skater to do so.
