Edwin Moses is an American former track and field athlete who specialized in the 400 meters hurdles. He is renowned for his remarkable winning streak of 122 consecutive races, including 107 consecutive finals, from 1977 to 1987. Moses won two Olympic gold medals in the 400 meters hurdles at the 1976 Montreal Olympics and the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. He also claimed a bronze medal at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. Known for his technical excellence and strategic racing, Moses set the world record in the 400 meters hurdles four times during his career. He was also a strong advocate for athletes’ rights and played a key role in the development of policies on amateurism and professionalism in sports.
